12 Week Nutrition and Fitness Challenge
Introducing the 12 Week Nutrition and Fitness Challenge
This is Laura. She’s a 32 year old sports teacher living in Switzerland. About 3 weeks ago, over lunch on the ski slope, Laura asked for my help.
The main reasons many of you may have failed in your attempts at getting fit or losing weight (body fat) are so common could include the following:
You have been using the wrong information about Diet and Training
You lost motivation
Laura had also experienced both, so it was time to change that and introduce her to the ‘right’ way. The following reasons why the programme will work is because:
-Training will be efficient stimulating her metabolism at the same time as reducing body fat.
-Nutritional planning will be focused on Hormones, Energy and Hunger not on calories in and out.
-The lifestyle that will be created is one that will last forever and not just for the 12 weeks of the programme.
For the next 12 weeks we will be following Laura’s progress. The programme will include everything needed to transform her habits, health, body composition and fitness. It’s not intended to be quick fix plan; it’s designed to create the change needed for her to develop a new lifestyle, a change that will last forever.
Aesthetics is often the primary motivating factor when most people embark on their own plan and even though this will be a consideration, and a structured approach will be put in place to meet her desired fat loss goals, the main focus for Laura is improved health. Making health a priority shifts the mental focus and is more likely to lead to a resolute lifestyle change and not a return to old ways after the 12 weeks is over.
When it comes to accomplishing anything it is essential to find a way of tracking and recording your progress. The results will tell you if what you have been doing is working or not. Many of the methods of tracking Laura’s progress are measurable but she will also be keeping a diary on her thoughts and mental feelings which, although subjective, will be an invaluable tool for me to assess and then adjust the many variables necessary for her success.
Sometimes the hardest part to achieving success in anything is to create the mental shift needed just to start something, but if you have the right mind set you can accomplish anything. You need to be ready to make the change, ready to make sacrifices, ready to take on the challenge.
Accountability has been shown to be a strong factor in the success of many projects, therefore, part of the strategy was the inclusion of her journey on this site. Both Laura and I want this to be a place to inspire others to start their own nutrition and fitness programme.
